so here is my little story, which emanates from my professional activity that I exercised as a craftsman, also a few words about my husband and I, young retirees that we are...
Legend says that
once upon a time there was a small striped insect,
which lined its nest with poppy petals.
It was baptized " the upholstery bee or the tapestry bee "
(I don't know how to translate his name correctly)
I borrowed this sweet nickname, to name my workshop because it was perfect to represent me as an artisan!
The wild bee, also called solitary, is a great worker and plays a very important role in the life of the gardens.
A little like her, the upholsterer with his skills, which require patience and manual skill, plays an important role in the new life of the furniture, entrusted for restoration.
I wanted to transform my workshop, dear to my heart for having worked there for years, into a cottage that looks like me and in which I could live...
That's why I named him
GÎTE DE L'ABEILLE (COTTAGE OF THE BEE)
to describe the reflection of the place, I wrote these few words in the logo that I created for it:

The proverb " who tries nothing, has nothing " is a very naive truth, whereas the adage that gives it meaning " dare and do not be afraid of work " is indeed a reality that characterizes me so much…
Creative and handy, I have always been.
Reckless, I am not… reasoned, yes!
Passionate about art embroidery, decoration among others, I wanted to embellish my gîte with objects and furniture to which I am very attached; there are some creations related to this fine craftsmanship, as in the fitness room...
Creating a gite is a great human adventure that requires unfailing commitment, with a lot of seriousness...
My unwavering support is my husband, it is called Jean-Robert.
He likes to read ; his passion is road biking.
He is a good handyman, to say the least, because by dint of repairing and maintaining almost everything in our house, he would almost have become an expert in renovation... he is very ingenious!
Music has an important place in our life. Our musical tastes for me are jazz, blues, those of my husband are much more eclectic. We both love this "old" rock of these mythical groups of the 60s and 70s, classical music too.
We appreciate the rich and varied contacts, a simple, fluent and frank communication.
